Hello! My name is Jae Kwon DVM, and I've been practicing in the Cleveland area since 2012.

 

I was born in South Korea, and like many kids, I've always wanted to work with animals but didn't exactly know how. During elementary school, my family moved to Amherst, Massachusetts. There, my teachers introduced me to the field of veterinary medicine and I was hooked ever since. Even when we went back to Korea, it was always my dream to move to the U.S. and become a veterinarian.

 

After graduating veterinary school in South Korea, I finished my mandatory service in the Korean army. Then, I married my wife who is also a veterinarian. We decided to move to the U.S. in 2010. I then passed the veterinary licensing board in 2012 and started my career.

I have worked in various settings such as shelters, low cost spay/neuter clinics, mobile vaccine clinics, privately owned clinics and corporate owned clinics. Among these different settings, I felt most rewarded as a veterinarian when I could connect with people and be part of the journey with their furry family members; which is why I decided to open my own practice.
